LOOKING AHEAD TO A NEW WEEK

THE FUTURE'S SO BRIGHT...

I GOTTA WEAR SHADES!

SUNDAY
How about starting the morning off with a stack of decadent, home made waffles and some luscious raspberry syrup served from this vintage Fenton glass piece? The cranberry glass body features the cheeriest white daisy and fern pattern.  The  silver plate hinged lid opens to reveal a spout for pouring, and is from an etsy store called the Classic Style Shop

MONDAY

Even though it's still really hot here, it is mid August, so it's time to start re-assessing the closet for a few key pieces I'd like to add to my wardrobe for Fall.  I'd love to consider something in an Autumn palette print and this cool Pucci piece could be great!  The seller, Susu Said, tells us this is a mini dress, but what about wearing it as a tunic...maybe with some black leggings and boots?  Could work!  And I'm loving the long sleeves and zipper detail!

TUESDAY

A dinner invitation at a friends home is slated for this evening and I'm to bring a dessert.  A lovely fruit tarte from a favorite local bakery far surpasses anything I could make and would be made even more elegant being served with this stunning antique French pastry server called a Pelle a Tarte.  The sterling silver spatula is embellished with pretty hand engraved foliage and features an ebony wood handle.  I love using serving pieces like this...makes a store bought treat just that more special.  From Abundancy on etsy.

WEDNESDAY

A Vintage Treasure is the name of this store, and this piece is certainly that!  I'm decluttering my vanity to feature more of the pretty perfume bottles I use regularly and this oval mirrored plateau will add so much glamour to the counter top with it's lovely gold wreaths and bows.  So charming!

THURSDAY

So long as I'm spending a little time in my closet this week, I may as well spend a little time helping my Sweetie tidy up his!  this wooden gentleman's valet is so handy to hang a nice suit on until it's either ready to don or ready to put away until the next wear.  this one is Italian, mid-century and so perfect for helping your guy stay just a little more organized.  From Compare and Contrast.

FRIDAY

Off to a friends beach house for the weekend and I know they would love a hostess gift like these six French Majolica oyster plates.  Such a fun way to serve and eat all the yummy seafood available in the Charleston area.  If you've never been, you should check it out.  Besides being a beautiful and historical town, the food there is over-the-top delicious!  You can get these lovelies from Azulclaro.

SATURDAY

The weekend on the coast of our beautiful South Carolina brings lots of activities.  This Hermes sarong would wrap beautifully over a swimsuit lounging at the pool and take you right to a wonderful dinner on the veranda.  From Magwood Boutique, this statement piece features colorful parrots amid the most vibrant colors!

LOOKING AHEAD TO A NEW WEEK

AND OPENING THE DOOR...

TO ALL THE WONDERFUL POSSIBILITIES OF WHAT'S ON THE OTHER SIDE!

SUNDAY...

I love using my fancy dishes literally every day of the week, but I think it is especially nice on Sunday mornings  to use pretty things.  Serving chocolate espresso in this Pot de Creme set,  with their handy little lids would be just like having a lovely Paris breakfast with your sweetheart in an outdoor cafe!  Now, croissant or eclair?  Hhmmmm.....
From Period Elegance on etsy.

 MONDAY...

This vintage Chanel suit would be perfect for the ladies luncheon I've been invited to attend.  The three-quarter length sleeves are a favorite style of mine, and I'm loving how the entire suit is edged in this beautiful trim work.  I see some versatility here, too...jacket with slacks or jeans, skirt with a crisp white shirt and stunning belt.  Such a flattering peachy-pink!  From Consign Couture.

 TUESDAY...

This Reed and Barton sterling silver spoon would be the sweetest baby gift for a friend who's expecting a little boy!  I love giving vintage things of quality as gifts to friends and family.  The little puffed heart at the top of the handle even has a little jingle sound...what boy wouldn't love that?  It's available from Memere's Attic and comes with the box and velvet pouch.  Adorable!

WEDNESDAY...
This lovely cut crystal and silver plate set is by Mappin and Webb, Silversmiths to both Queen Elizabeth and The Prince of Wales.  The Anglophile in me likes it already!  And since I've planned on having a big salad for dinner using delicious veggies purchased at the local farmers market last Saturday morning, I think it would be perfection  to place on the table for oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.  Dragonfly Studios 74 has lots of delightful things to look at in their shop!

 THURSDAY...

A fun night out with the girls requires a fabulous top to glam up the dark wash jeans I'll probably wear, and this vintage Pucci knocks me out!  The color combinations of hand sewn beads and sequins is so cool, not to mention the classic geometric shapes and swirls of his prints.  A little glam shoe, a chic cocktail bag, and I'm ready to order a Cosmo!  From Stated Style.

 FRIDAY...

It's sish-ka-bob for a few friends at our house this evening and we're dining al fresco! These mid-century stainless steel skewers have the loveliest rosewood handles and are certainly more dramatic to bring to the table than bamboo ones!  I love how the bright colors of all the marinated veggies look, especially this time of year when they are at their most luscious and bountiful!  From Fox and Thomas.

 SATURDAY...
There's nothing like a Summer Saturday afternoon wedding to break out a gorgeous hat, now is there?  Fashioned out of the palest beige straw and soft pink velvet roses, this chic chapeau from Fifi's Finds, would co-ordinate beautifully with the soft mint-green shantung sheath and bolero jacket I plan on wearing!  Swoon...!

Wishing You a Week Filled with Love and Beauty!
