MORE FABULOUS FLAPPERS!

CREAMY WHITE.  DARING DRAPING.  BEAUTIFUL BIAS CUT SATINS AND SILKS SKIMMING THE BODY TO REVEAL GORGEOUS GAMS!

Now THIS is glamorous!

Here are a few other things I found to share that are influenced by this Golden Age of fashion...

Old Hollywood movie star glamour is what you get with this jaw dropping vintage gown!  This has a real breathtaking silhouette, with the yummiest buttery fluid fabric slip dress and a short hand beaded sleeveless jacket to wear over top for sensational sparkle lighting up your face.  I love how Red House Vintage styled this showing different accessory options!
Roaring 20's lustrous ivory silk crepe de chine treasure, handmade with rosettes revealing the matte and shiny sides this decadent fabric. Like many dresses made around this time, this dress features a slip-like under dress and tunic.   Pretty piping, cap sleeves and a flattering v-neck are just a few of the details that make this piece so divine.  From Nacho Kitty.

Vera Vague offers this amazing and nearly angelic take on this look with this gently pin tucked version. The soft, butterfly sleeves and a gently scooped neckline could be amped up with long layers of pearls and rhinestones for a more cocktail look for this gown made of delicate silk crepe.

Here's another wedding dress that would be wonderful for a unique evening ensemble.  Imagine sipping martinis in this dropped waist, hip tucked number at your next social event!  This one has collar that reveals sexy skin through sheer lace at the shoulders.  If you are wanting to use this for a wedding, the shop owner, Retro Vintage Weddings, has several suggestions for the extras...a super long veil, opera gloves, something at the hip...?

LOOKING AHEAD TO A NEW WEEK!

AND LOOKING FORWARD TO ENJOYING...
...A LONG AND LUSCIOUS HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

 SUNDAY...

Why not look beautifully patriotic while lounging at the pool, beach or lake in the cutest vintage swimsuit and cover up?  It's a fun nod to the holiday weekend with it's red and blue polka dots against a white background, and really has that cool 70's vibe...from The Groove.

 MONDAY...
Is this not the perfect gown for the annual 4th of July Ball?  Who wouldn't love wearing this 1960's full satin skirt ball gown in the prettiest shade of red with blue diagonal sashes on the bodice forming a lovely one shoulder effect?  Whether your date is in a classic tuxedo or a formal military uniform, this is a stunning way to look to celebrate the holiday!  From Another Season.

TUESDAY...

Sorting mail when it's brought into the house is always a clutter issue...just getting tossed on the entry table until it is carried upstairs to one of our home offices.  This little Florentine piece from Lyndi Lane could be a great simple but attractive solution to a common problem.  With two compartments, it would be easy to divide whose mail is whose while adding a little elegance in the foyer.  I have a few other pieces of Italian Florentine throughout our home, so this would be a perfect fit!

 WEDNESDAY...
A pretty vintage manicure set like this is just too pretty to put away!  I've always been crazy about mother of pearl on just about anything and this set is just so perfect for my almost all white, silver and crystal master bathroom. Plus, it comes in the nicest purple leather carrying case if you do decide to store it or toss it in a suitcase. This makes doing nail touch ups so much nicer, don't you think?  From Wold Heart.

 THURSDAY...
I'm always looking for ways to up the glam factor in my house, and thought this adorable Louis XVI banquette would perfect in my powder room.  It's a nice place for a lady to put her handbag or other belongings while freshening up when visiting.  This Carolyn Quartermaine fabric is to die for, too, and these colors would work so well in several rooms in my house if I ever want to use it elsewhere.  From

 FRIDAY...
Friday is my birthday and nothing would thrill me more than to receive a gift of Chanel anything, but this pretty white handbag is so perfect for getting through the rest of the Summer season so stylishly!  I could eat this bag like birthday cake!  Available from Pamcoco.

 SATURDAY...
We have the most perfect back yard for lawn games and a good old fashioned game of croquet is something from childhood that we loved playing as a family.  How fun would it be to entertain our friends with a refined and  leisurely game like this with refreshments to enjoy between games.  I've always loved the colors that decorate the pieces and this set comes with a great stand that would be a wonderful addition to a family game room.  From Callooh Callay.

Hope Your Week is Full of Wonderful Fireworks!
