Vintage Inspiration!

You may have seen these wonderful photos taken of the fabulous designer Maria Lucia Hohan's atelier in Bucarest.

She has a wonderful website that is worth getting lost in if you love beautiful wedding and special occasion fashion.

Everything is very feminine...for the girly-girl who loves fashion!

Even down to the tiniest of details.

Soft, muted colors are predominant.

Intricate layerings of ruffles and tiers sweep the floor

Dramatic bows and sashes highlight glamorous gowns!

Jewels embellish satin shoulder straps!

Delicious, frothy fabrics to maximize dance floor drama!

And just the right sparkling touches to bring added glam!

This place could rival Carrie Bradshaw's closet!

The photos were taken via The Cherry Blossom Girl. If you've never read her blog, you're in for a real fashion treat! Grab a cherry cola...you'll be there awhile!

Okay, so this had me inspired to check out the fabulous vintage offerings on Etsy. See what you think...........

From Catseye Vintage, this chiffon ball gown features rouching and beaded embellishments at the bodice with a dramatic watteau back.

How about a fun lilac flapper dress to party all night in! If you can't have fun in this dress, you just need to stay home! From Smitten Clothing.

I'm crazy about this cap sleeved gown from Salvaged Soul. The peachy, rayon frock is highlighted with lace insets and a tiny bow at the neckline.

What a fun, young party dress! This is from Starlet Vintage and is made of white sheer lace with asymetrical ruffling and a soft bow accenting the hipline.

Okay, people...I remember selling this dress at a high end salon that I worked at. This dress is about 20 years old. I loved it then, and I love it now! From Fabulous Mess Vintage.

Doesn't this just scream Marilyn Monroe? It's actually a soft blushy-beige floor length gown in floaty chiffon. From where else, but the Chiffon Lounge.

Are you brave enough to wear this nightie as a slipdress? With the right undergarment, it would be fun to show off the empire waist accented by a sweet bow, from Crabapple Vintage.

Layers of chiffon over tulle over silk make this dress seem like a yummy confection! Check out the great items at Poor Jean.

I think this would be great at the Kentucky Derby with the right hat. This pretty accordian pleated dress is available from Gogo Vintage.

Even this little nightie from Grandma Flies A Broom is sculpted with soft gathers and bows!

This would be a great dress to wear to attend a garden wedding! Pretty frosted pink rosettes adorn the one shoulder, atop a ruched bodice and flared cocktail length skirt. Verite Vintage.

Have fun with fashion!

Thank you for including my pink nightie among these beautiful pieces. I love all the bows and that 30's gown is wonderful.
