Think Outside The Traditional Color Box!
I am loving this updated Christmas color palette! So fresh and hip! You don't always have to use the traditional red and green...in fact, with a white tree, all they've done is added a few turquoise ornaments, ribbons and gift wrap to achieve a holiday look to their already chic room!
After getting all the lights on the tree, I like to start with the garland next to get the draping just right. I found this vintage mercury glass beaded garland on Etsy from Pumpkin Truck in the shiniest shade of turquoise!
This yummy colored ribbon could cascade down the tree like in the inspiration photo above, or could accent your gift wrapped packages. It's available from Scarlett's Cottage.
Next, I put in the most special and
beautiful ornaments by placing them toward the front to be seen. Holly Puppy Angels has this long, tapered ornament for added glamour!
Then I like to fill in with the simpler decorations. These, from Luna Park Foundry, are also made of lovely mercury glass, like the garland. I love the unique quality of mercury glass, and it is extra attractive in this delicious shade of aqua.

Every tree needs a star! This one, again is of lovely mercury glass, and is embellished with attractive blue beads. From Marthas Attic.
Finally, why not throw an outrageously colorful tree-trimming party wearing this fun vintage cocktail dress? From the 1960's this mod turquoise and gold brocade number is decorated down the left side and at the hem in the most fanciful feather trim! Daisy And Stella have other great party dresses in their store, too!
