...when I received the most wonderful news!
Last week I featured these gorgeous vintage T-towels that would have been part of a French brides trousseau, and Jane, from Simply French Vintage, wrote to me thanking me for the feature. Jane and her husband David are a lovely English couple who live in France every year from Easter to the onset of Fall. They have a house in the Burgundy wine growing region in central France and spend their springs and summers visiting brocantes and flea markets searching out vintage treasures. The larger items they sell at a big Antiques Fair near London, England. The smaller ones they sell on etsy and through their website simplyfrenchvintage.com. They have so many stunning things to offer, especially if Country French is your style! I especially love it this time of year when we think of being outdoors and in the garden!
And now, my new friend Jane has offered to give away a special gift from one of her treasure hunting trips!
She has generously offered this amazing 72 piece set of vintage vegetable labels (she retails these in her shop for $29) to one of my lucky readers! These are not reproduction labels, but original French labels from the 1920's that would have been glued to seed packets and then sold at vegetable and flower garden markets all over France. How delightful it must have been when Jane and David stumbled onto these! I can just imagine all the great craft projects that these could be used for. Gift tags, charming flash cards for children to teach them all about the garden, decoupage, and greeting cards. Framed individually or as a set to brighten the breakfast nook, pantry or kitchen. Keep some for yourself, and give some as gifts. The ideas are endless!
